IBAC and the City of Greater Geelong (CoGG) are bringing a spotlight to integrity in the Geelong region on Wednesday 25 November 2026.
As stewards of the PID Act (2012), IBAC hosts biannual forums to raise awareness of the Victorian whistleblower scheme, which supports the identification of corruption and misconduct in the public sector.
This forum is aimed at PID coordinators and those working in integrity and governance roles across the Greater Geelong region (at a local and state level).
The forum will feature presentations from IBAC Deputy Commissioner Colleen Bell, and CoGG Lead Integrity and Review Officer James Constance, on the following topics:
- Victoria’s PID scheme and key information on PID obligations and protections
- Strategies to support integrity in the public sector – key principles for staff and managers
- A spotlight on integrity in practice –recent initiatives being led by the CoGG Integrity unit
The second part of the forum is an interactive PID scenario exercise designed to support people to review integrity scenarios and build skills in identifying PID obligations, suitable for PID coordinators and those who want to learn more about the Victorian PID scheme.
The forum aims to support stronger integrity culture and practice across the Greater Geelong region, build the practical understanding of the PID scheme, and improve the quality of PID notifications.
