Plant it Forward – Deakin Waurn Ponds

Get involved! Join Deakin for a community tree planting day to help RESTORE native vegetation along Waurn Ponds Creek.

 Together, we can improve the health of the waterway and support the recovery of species like the vulnerable Yarra Pygmy Perch. The planting is part of the Kitjarra-dja-bul Bullarto Langi-ut masterplan, which aims to plant 50,000 indigenous grasses, shrubs and trees throughout the catchment area.

o    Please wear weather-appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes and bring gardening gloves and your water bottles.
o    Planting equipment provided.
o    Light refreshments provided.

Take Entrance 1 from Pigdons Road and follow Nicol Drive South around until you see signs to Jarvis Oval on the left-hand side. Follow the unsealed road down the hill. Free parking is available around the Jarvis Oval sports precinct.
