Event Description
Monsters in the Museum with Sai-Wai Foo

Join artist Sai-Wai Foo for an all-ages workshop using craft materials and simple construction techniques to create a special creature mask based on belonging and identity.

This session is suitable for all skill levels and abilities and is designed to encourage play and finding your inner monster. Children under 16, and their accompanying adult are encouraged to do the activity together.

Recommended ages: all ages, but all children under 16 must have an adult with them.

What to expect: This is an artist led workshop run by artist Sai-Wai Foo, that is structured but also allows for lots of creativity. Museum education staff will be assisting.

What to bring: Nothing – all materials are provided.

Outcomes for participants: Children will have the opportunity to practice creative expression and develop fine motor skills. They will create a mask to take home with them. This is an excellent opportunity for parents to create together with their children.

Tickets: This program is free, but requires an entry ticket to the museum. With your entry ticket, you will also have access to On the Move, a family friendly interactive exhibition, as well as our permanent exhibitions.
