Event Description
Deakin University - Centre for Regenerating Futures presents:
Artefacts of the Future
Using art to envisage a more sustainable future.
8-17 July 2025 10am - 5pm Monday-Friday
Geelong’s Artefacts of the Future is a learning and research project developed by researchers at the Centre for Regenerating Futures, Deakin University.
Teaching and learning resources have been created for teachers to work with students in schools to understand and tackle challenges like climate change and biodiversity loss.
Students learn about sustainable living, and use art and design to express their ideas for a better future.
Their artefacts will be exhibited at The Gordon Gallery on weekdays 10am-5pm: Tuesday 8th July to Thursday 17th.
There will be a dedicated makers area where the public can also engage in designing and making their artefact of the future to add to the exhibition.
Support by a City of Greater Geelong Climate Change Partnership Grant.
*no tickets or pre registration required.
